Let Cyber Clean pull that nasty stuff out of your hairdryer

Welcome Back to the Cyberclean Blog!

Posted on 17 October 2009, at 2:27 pm, by Wayne Schulz

Cyber Clean is a cleaning solution that works like putty. You stretch it and apply it to dirty areas. Then pull back and the dirt comes along with the Cyber Clean. What happens next seems odd but the directions claim it’s safe to roll the Cyber Clean so that the dirt is absorbed. No word on how many times you can do this before you create the worlds largest ball of dirty putty. For cleaning tough spots like hair dryers or screens I could totally see this.

Cyber Clean fights the good fight against keyboard gunk

Neat freaks and people who eat lunch hunched over a keyboard might like to take a look at Cyber Clean. It’s like Playdoh for the IT crowd. Sure, you can make shapes with it in a quiet moment, or squeeze the life out of it in a stressful moment, but its true purpose is to get in and clean all the dirt, grime and crumbs on and in your keyboard.

Not to be alarmist, but one UK scientist found that “the average computer keyboard or mobile phone keypad has more germs then a toilet seat”. Now to me that perhaps says more about the English, together with a little fear-mongering, but there’s no doubt that keyboards can gather their fair share of gunk.

Cyber Clean Home and Office version is available in two pack sizes, 75 gram and 135 gram. Also available is a version for automobiles – same sizes, same prices, but the version for automobiles is blue rather than yellow. Cyber Clean is available from Supercheap Auto, Kmart, Newslink and various electronic stores. You’ll get 75 uses of Cyber Clean before you need to discard and buy a new pack.

A word of warning, as someone here found out when they took the stuff home. Do not place Cyber Clean in direct sunlight, as it will liquify, and can leak from the container. It’s on the box in small print on the back, so it could easily be missed.

Don’t let lint and dust stand in the way of a perfect hair day! Fight hairdryer buildup with Cyber Clean Home & Office!

Welcome Back to the Cyberclean Blog!

Ladies, there is no shame in admitting the strong connection you have with your hair dryer. Problem is, what if you were to find your hair soaking wet before a crucial meeting or much anticipated date, holding this essential item in your hand and it’s choosing not to turn on? The mishap, more times than not, will be because of dirt buildup in the grate. With the high-tech cleaning compound Cyber Clean Home and Office there will be no more damaging lint buildup, which prevents not only the panic that would ensue if this situation were to occur, but also the sudden breakdown of your hairdryer.

Hairdryers are often overlooked as an item that is in need of cleaning- care. Although small, the device runs on a motor that sucks air into the machine, sending it over the heating coil and out the other end. The hot air produced causes a buildup of hair and dust in the wire screen or filter; ultimately making the motor work harder, shortening its life expectancy.

“Dirt buildup can seriously compromise the performance of any electronic device,” said Alan Sutton, CEO, Cyber Clean Americas. “Cyber Clean is an effective solution to preserving performance strength and life expectancy for items like your hair dryer. The cleaning process is quick and easy too!”

On the back of the hairdryer there is a grate; this is where the grimy residue builds up each time the device is turned on. Simply press Cyber Clean firmly into the grate and allow it to mold deep into the cracks. In one swift motion pull back the slime-like substance and take a look at all of the dust and lint that it has trapped!

Get rid of keyboard germs

Welcome Back to the Cyberclean Blog!

iStock_000002244531XSmallIf you think the only kinds of viruses associated with your computer are of a digital variety, think again.

A study of bacterial contamination on computer keyboards in the UK, which was reported on the BBC site, found that the tested keyboards had five times the level of bacteria as toilet seats in the same office.

So, with Australia expecting a second wave of Swine Flu with the onset of the northern hemisphere winter from travellers, it’s time to be more vigilant about germ transfer.

A new product called Cyber Clean aims to do just that, saving you from the little beasties (and that includes the kids!) that find their way onto the surface of your PC’s keyboard and mouse during everyday use.

It resembles fluoro yellow silly putty, and that’s where it has the jump on other anti-bacterial products. Where liquids can damage your keyboard’s electronics, Cyber Clean is a solid, yet flexible substance that can be stretched and molded to fit the surface area and only needs to be lightly pressed onto it to do its job — no rubbing or scrubbing required. And because Cyber Clean is mouldable, you can get it into all the the little crevices where germs can breed unabated.

However, a word of warning: keep it away from the kids or they might be tempted to repurpose it into a Pingu figurine!

Of course, Cyber Clean can be used to sanitise more than your computer gear.
